OBJECTIVES
- Outline the interaction of sound with soft-tissue and other mediums.
- Demonstrate the relationship between system controls and image quality.
- Select the appropriate type of transducer for each respective clinical application.
- Identify different types of imaging artifacts.
AUDIENCE
Physicians, PA’s, sonographers and other medical professionals who will be involved with performing ultrasound examinations. Physicians may include (but is not limited to) radiology, emergency medicine, critical care, vascular/general surgery, internal medicine, family practice/primary care, OB-GYN, MSK, and anesthesiology.
