Keck USC Diabetes Symposium 2023 USC presents the second year of the USC Diabetes Symposium. This hybrid program, offered in person and over virtual platform, presents updates in the field of diabetes and obesity management with the use of cutting-edge medications, procedures and behavioral techniques.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Implement lifestyle management techniques that have proven benefit in patients with diabetes.
  • Provide evidence-based nutrition recommendations for patients with diabetes.
  • Counsel patients on the risks and benefits of artificial sweeteners.
  •  Educate patients on the connection between obesity and type 2 diabetes.

This course is intended for primary care providers, nurses, trainees and other health care professionals that care for those with diabetes and obesity to select individualized treatments for these complex patients.
